Our Employee of the Month for January, 2022 is Chris Whelpton. Chris is our Assistant Lodge Manager and has worked for Glenwood Hot Springs Resort since March, 2021. In that time, Chris has shown his dedication to Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, his team and our guests. Time and time again, he has proven he cares about our operations and is a hands‐on manager. He is known for working overtime to fill in gaps without a single complaint. Chris recently had to deal with an incident that required not only quick thinking, but documentation, communication and cooperation between departments.
Chris was recently recognized as an “Emerging Hospitality Leader” by the Colorado Hotel Lodging Association. Our Lodge Manager, Loretta Ayala adds, “Chris joined our team almost year ago. In that time, he has really raised the bar for guest service and frequently receives accolades from our guests. Chris is highly revered by his staff and has shown his dedication to our guests and GHSR in so many ways. I am very proud of Chris and thrilled he is being honored as employee of the month.”
When asked how it felt to be our Employee of the Month, Chris said, “I feel very thankful winning the employee of the month award. It is an honor to be nominated and chosen by my colleagues.
