Why Our Family Loves Glenwood!!

From driving in whiteouts over Loveland Pass ( before Eisenhower tunnel) (1960-1970) to amazing ski trips to Sunlight & Snowmass, our family memories abound with the town of Glenwood Springs and Glenwood Hot Springs. Floating in the large pool gazing at the stars and having the steam swirling around and frosting our hair just made us feel alive. The steam would be so thick we would play hide & seek in the fog!

Our neighbors with all their 4 kids would meet our family of 3 kids there for a New Years special Holiday Vacation in the Old Lodge. The next generation, (1990-2010) we have used the swim stay and ski package at the Hot Springs Lodge. The breakfast included at their cafe made life less complicated! In the summer time, after a beautiful hike to Hanging Lake and then come for a quick soak and refresher at the Hot Springs. Raft trips down the Colorado River made for other adventurous memories. More recently, we have taken the tram up and explored the Fairy Caves. Our favorite restaurants include breakfast or lunch at "Rosies" Bavarian Cafe .

The Historic Denver Hotel Restaurant within walking distance we would have had great meal & beers from their brewery. Many more memories have been made at this welcoming town, from seeing herds of elk and deer in the hundreds to watching wild turkeys. From walking the Doc Holiday Grave Trail to see the vista over the town and too many others to name. Just a Thank you from us "front rangers" for such a wonder town that we feel part of.
