I don't exactly remember when I first visited Glenwood Springs, but I have visited there about 100 times in my lifetime and for years, it's always been my favorite place to visit, especially during the summer season. When I was a teenager, I loved visiting the lodge for the summer as it meant playing on the mini golf course and going down the water slides.
My favorite thing about visiting the lodge during the summer nowadays is the new splash zone, mainly the Shoshone Chutes. It gives you a feeling of what it's like to go river tubing, but with a wonderful staff to keep you safe. Speaking of the staff, all of the workers at the lodge are professional and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. The city of Glenwood Springs offers a lot of great tourism like visiting the caves at the Caverns and a chance to soak in the hot springs late at night to help you fall fast asleep.
Times are always changing, but my visits to Glenwood will always be something I can treasure for the rest of my life.
