The Magic of the Night

My brother-in-law highly recommended Glenwood Hot Springs to us about 25 years years ago. So when our kids attended colleges in Albuquerque and Denver, we were able to enjoy many "triangle" road trips; Los Angeles - Albuquerque - Denver, or vice-versa. Glenwood Hot Springs became one of our must stops; a quick check-in at the hotel, the short walk to the pools, that feeling when you first put your feet in the perfectly temperatured water, that feeling of warmth on your muscles as you sink lower into the pool, that needed relief whether due to traffic, work, stress or just plain life, it was all soothing and life-affirming.

Most memorable were the November nights we sat under the stars, our bodies embraced by the hot water, our heads peeking our in the fresh brisk air, watching the tornados of steam rising from the water's surface. We will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this March, and can't wait until we can return to one of our favorite happy places.
