We love this little paradise! I was diagnosed with NAFLD, and my liver was very enlarged. We spent a week out there in the Fall 2 years ago.
My next checkup in February, my liver was only slightly enlarged. We both have health issues including knees and we always feel really well for months after each visit.
We love that you can take the train from Iowa and almost straight to the doorstep of the pool and lodge. We love the healing waters and we love how wonderful all of the staff treats us. If you stay in the lodge, you have free passes to the pool, free breakfast by the pool, and you can advance to the first of the line for the pool entrance with wristbands provided. You can also leave and enter multiple times during the day. Amazing dining places just across the bridge over the river. We also ate lunch at the grill located at the pool daily. They also have a food truck available at the pool during peak times. Beautiful gift shop full of swimwear and anything else you may need.
