Childhood Nostalgia

One of my fondest memories as a child has to be the delightful visits we made to Glenwood Hot Springs. As a native to Colorado, our main form of vacationing was camping, and one annual camping trip we made was actually outside of Colorado, to Moab Utah. This was a special tradition, of not just our family, but of a whole group of 4-5 families, which meant lots of other kids to play with. Over that week of camping, in the hot Moab sun, we hiked, climbed, explored, splashed in streams and unleashed our imaginations.

Although, coming back home was a long drive, the tradition of stopping at the hot springs was a treat that we eagerly awaited! There was no place like it, and as a kid, the large pools were amazing and felt almost magical! What a lovely welcome back to Colorado, after our excursion. I knew I wanted to share some of those memories with my children, and have been taking them to visit the Glenwood Hot Springs every year since they’ve been born. Seeing the joy and wonderment in their faces on these trips helps me relive the fond memories all over again.

I have been enjoying the Springs for 30 years, and am looking forward to another visit next month.
